About the Role

Take your career to new heights as a Senior Contract Administrator/Construction Manager with Egis Canada. Leading high-profile, multi-million-dollar projects, you'll oversee all facets of construction management, from tender preparation to ensuring timely, safe, and compliant project completion. This role is ideal for experienced professionals ready to mentor others, coordinate with design consultants, and make strategic decisions that define project success.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a leader within of our Contract Administration Division, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of your projects.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the delivery of high-complexity, multi-million-dollar projects from inception to completion.
  • Lead teams of inspectors, administrators, and consultants, ensuring seamless project coordination and execution.
  • Review and approve tender documents, manage the tendering process, and conduct constructability reviews.
  • Inspect operations periodically, ensuring adherence to contract documents, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Provide expert guidance on claims, progress payments, and contractor schedules to ensure project alignment.
  • Anticipate challenges and proactively implement solutions, driving projects toward successful outcomes.
  • Mentor emerging talent within the team, fostering career growth and professional development
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree or College diploma in Civil Engineering;
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications;
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook), familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D would be considered an asset;
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and attention to detail skills;
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn;
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance;
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and travel to site locations within the area;

EXPERIENCE

  • Registered as P. Eng. with PEO or rcca with OACETT;
  • Completion of MTO T131 - Advanced Claims - Dispute Resolution course;
  • Demonstrated experience as a Contract Administrator, Resident Engineer, Quantity Surveyor - on at least four (4) previous projects;
  • 10+ years experience in structural, watermain, asphalt, and/or grade construction on road and/or bridge construction projects.
  • Project Management Professional PMP is considered an asset
