Location: Boucherville Salary: $20 to $28 per hour, negotiable based on experience. Job category: Engineering - Technical Type of job: Permanent Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Wednesday (7:30 AM to 4:30 PM), Thursday (7:30 AM to 4:00 PM), and Friday (7:30 AM to 2:30 PM).

Tasks

  • Read and interpret technical plans and manufacturing drawings.
  • Use conventional machine tools (lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, etc.).
  • Prepare and set up conventional machine tools for machining metal parts.
  • Perform machining, drilling, threading, and assembly of parts according to specifications.
  • Produce parts, components, and tools as per specifications.
  • Evaluate the quality of completed work (visual appearance, uniformity, absence of visible defects) and conduct dimensional and visual inspections.
  • Perform basic maintenance on equipment and report any anomalies.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.

Job requirements

  • DEP in machining, mechanical fabrication, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in conventional machining.
  • Experience in sawing, turning, milling, drilling, planing, and grinding.
  • Good knowledge of reading technical plans and using measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of metals and precision machining techniques.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken French.
  • Experience in repairing, assembling, and disassembling antennas and accessories in the communications sector (asset).
  • Knowledge of MIG/TIG welding (asset).
