Location: Brossard Salary: $17 to $23.75 per hour, negotiable based on experience. Job category: Skilled Trades - Manufacturing Type of job: Permanent Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tasks

  • Read and interpret PCB plans, schematics, and component lists.
  • Manually assemble electronic components onto PCBs according to customer requirements (soldering, component insertion, inspection).
  • Perform hand soldering.
  • Use tools such as soldering irons, microscopes, tweezers, and soldering equipment.
  • Inspect the compliance of printed circuit boards using testing equipment and visual inspection (microscope).
  • Follow quality standards and manufacturing procedures (IPC-A-610, ISO, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to optimize assembly processes.
  • Verify and complete documentation.
  • Perform quality control.
  • Pack and prepare orders.
  • Perform other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • Training in electronic assembly, electronic production, or any other relevant field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the assembly of printed circuit boards.
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing.
  • Good knowledge of hand soldering processes and the machines used.
  • Ability to perform hand soldering.
  • Ability to detect soldering defects and resolve technical issues quickly.
  • Ability to read electronic schematics and technical instructions.
  • Ability to use a microscope for product quality control.
  • Knowledge of the IPC-A-610 standard.
  • Comfortable with computers, IT, programming, and measurement tools.
  • Experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) or wave soldering (an asset).
  • Proficiency in French, both spoken and written.
