Location: Brossard Salary: $17 to $23.75 per hour, negotiable based on experience. Job category: Skilled Trades - Manufacturing Type of job: Permanent Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Tasks

  • Install and calibrate the wave soldering machine according to product technical specifications.
  • Verify that the flux, temperatures, and machine parameters are appropriate.
  • Place electronic components (mainly through-hole components) on the printed circuit boards.
  • Inspect the assemblies to ensure compliance before the soldering process.
  • Supervise the operation of the machine.
  • Ensure that components are properly soldered and that there are no defects.
  • Clean the printed circuit boards after wave soldering according to recommendations.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the machine.
  • Conduct post-soldering quality checks to identify and correct any defects.
  • Perform assembly when needed.
  • Verify and complete documentation.
  • Inspect work, materials, equipment, and everything related to the assembly using a microscope and automated equipment as needed.

Job requirements

  • Training in electronic assembly, electronic production, or other relevant fields.
  • At least 1 year of experience on a wave soldering machine.
  • Significant experience in electronic assembly.
  • Experience in electronic manufacturing (an asset).
  • Good knowledge of hand soldering processes and the machines used.
  • Ability to read electronic schematics and technical instructions.
  • Ability to use a microscope for product quality control.
  • Ability to detect soldering defects and resolve technical problems quickly.
  • Knowledge of the IPC-A-610 standard.
  • Comfortable with computers, IT, programming, and measurement tools.
  • Proficiency in French, both spoken and written.
