Parts Supervisor

At SMS Equipment, the Parts Supervisor, under the supervision of the Operations Manager, will manage the day-to-day operations of the Parts Department in accordance with the annual business plan, with a view to maximizing the department's profitability objectives. This position is located in Chicoutimi.

The schedule for this position is 5x2.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supervises work team, training and performance evaluations.
• Develops and maintains a high level of service to external and internal customers.
• Contributes to sound parts inventory management.
• Serves customers with enthusiasm and responds to their needs by conducting various searches.
• Participates periodically in meetings with customers in order to maintain good business relations and be aware of their issues and needs.
• Monitors customer files (growth or decline) and provides solutions.
• Authorize parts credits.
• Participates in and monitors the budget.
• Authorizes and verifies parts department invoices.
• Analyze parts sales.
• Manages customer complaints.
• Act as health and safety leader and participate in safety meetings (Toolbox meeting).
• Adhere at all times to occupational health & safety standards and policies;
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications :

• Post-secondary degree related to the field of mechanics or parts, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy equipment parts

Other requirements include :

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Focused on customers and results.
• Requiring little direct supervision, this leader is dynamic, creative and thorough; a team player who thrives on successfully managing challenges.
• Excellent knowledge of the MS-Office.
• Bilingualism french and english.
