What are your contributions to the team?

  • Support the Aftermarket Cloud Data Platform team ingest various sources of data such as the Smart Link Plus / Aircraft Health Management System (IoT) bulk transfers from our in-service aircraft.
  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines that bring raw data (bronze) to a state easily consumable by AI/ML (gold), for example by our state-of-the-art Predictive Maintenance solution.
  • Monitor and optimize the pipelines for cost and performance, working closely with the AI & Cloud Architect and ML engineers.
  • Work in close collaboration with data scientists and other stakeholders of the Digital Innovation Office, such as product owners and business analysts, to ensure the pipelines meet business needs and quality requirements.
  • Assist ML engineers develop and maintain AI/ML pipelines serving our customer-facing, cloud-based Digital Portfolio of applications.
  • Enforce DevSecOps best practices.
  • Establish a robust governance to control data access and protect sensitive data.
  • Lead new initiatives thus ultimately contributing to our culture of innovation and data-centric vision.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • You have experience integrating ETL pipelines in a business context with proven benefits.
  • You have experience deploying big data pipelines in the cloud.
  • You have experience with AI/ML pipelines (asset).
  • You have experience with Snowflake or Databricks (asset).
  • You have experience with time-series data, particularly telemetry data (asset).
  • You master Python, SQL, and Bash.
  • You are proficient in data manipulation and analysis using Pandas or similar tools.
  • You are proficient in big data processing using Spark or similar tools.
  • You are result-driven, open-minded, curious, autonomous, and enthusiastic.
  • You are a team player with above-average communication skills in English and French (asset).
