What are your contributions to the team?

  • Research, design and evaluate new technical concepts or emerging technologies.
  • Validate these concepts in the Innovation laboratory with actual mockups.
  • Organize and attend design reviews taking into consideration industry regulations, Bombardier Aerospace design practices and requirements.
  • Work with suppliers on projects related to cabin furniture on the business aircraft.
  • Collaborate with different internal parties (Operations, Detailed Design, Projects, Programs, Technical, etc.) as well as suppliers for problem solving.
  • Negotiate interfaces with other systems/structures and formalize the agreement on Interface Control Drawings (ICD).
  • Be in direct contact with suppliers and be responsible for the delivery of quality engineering documentation that meets Bombardier Standards.
  • Participate in Design reviews and have a good understanding and interpretation of regulatory and industry

How to thrive in this role?

  • You have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • You have 3-5 years relevant technical experience in aircraft interiors completions. Cabinet design experience is an asset.
  • You have experience working with Catia V5/Enovia/VPM NAV (part, assembly, drawing).
  • You have good knowledge of MS Office.
  • You are well organized and focused on projects.
  • You have good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
  • You like to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, you adapt easily to changes, and customer satisfaction is your number one priority.
  • You can understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving.
  • You must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision.
