An overview of your future role at BBA

You'll be part of our specialized mechanical team working in the hydropower sector. You'll play a key role in all phases of engineering projects, ensuring exceptional technical quality of deliverables. Occasional site visits will complete your activities portfolio. You'll have the chance to work on various projects under the supervision of more experienced engineers.

  • Manage various mechanical projects for turbines, generators, mechanical governors, bearing lubrication and cooling, balancing and alignment of rotating parts, gates and balance of plant
  • Play a leading role in client communications for your mandates
  • Be a key team member in executing small to major modernization or new installation projects
  • Help solving complex problems related to mechanical components of hydroelectric power plants
  • Participate in the detailed design of turbine-generator sets
  • Take part in pumped storage plant projects
  • Prepare and develop the required technological tools and participate in inspections, diagnostics, commissioning and site testing
  • Actively share your knowledge with the team
  • Represent our work to clients and contribute to business development through the quality of your work
  • Develop your expertise through mentorship from senior engineers and BBA University

Overview of job requirements

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Interest in the hydropower and renewable energy sectors
  • Certified member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) as a CEP or professional engineer (junior) in another Canadian province
  • Driver's licence
  • Fluent in English and French
