Air Inuit has been providing essential scheduled, chartered, cargo and emergency air transport services to Nunavik and beyond- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - for over 45 years. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of 30 aircraft and employs more than 1000 employees in one of the world's most challenging flight environments.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The planification agent Fleet & DOC is responsible for preparing the OPM (Operations Planning Manifest) for the next day's flights. This person is also in charge of dealing with all other departments for any future issues affecting the planning (Charters, Passenger Services, Maintenance, Crew Scheduling, Pilots and the Cargo Agents). All long term projects are handled by the Fleet Team in conjunction with the appropriate department. This person also supports the Daily Operations Coordinator in their functions when required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Plan and organize the use of the Air Inuit fleet.
  • Produce the daily OPM for the following day.
  • Organize the 703 crews once in the North.
  • Communicate with all other departments to fulfill their requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements for all scheduled, cargo, charter and 3rd party flights.
  • Provide liaison between internal groups and ensure a consistent exchange of information.
  • Work closely with Charters, Crew Scheduling, Passenger Services and all the Maintenance bases.
  • Make plans for large long-term projects along with the Direction and the Charter department.
  • Issues the day-of flight operating directives to the ops control center and bases based on company needs.
  • Maintain, book, cancel and update all required slots in YUL.
  • Ensure scheduled flights are in AIMS 6 months in advance.
  • All other tasks deemed necessary or required by the operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Have at least 5 years experience in airline operations. Experience as an aviation dispatcher would be an asset.
  • Be familiar with the followign aircraft types: BE30, DHC-6, DHC-8 and B7373 is an asset.
  • Aviation rules and regulation knowledge required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Air Inuit network.
  • Knowledge of applicable Transport Canada commercial and operational flight policies.
  • Bilingual (French/English). Inuktitut would be a complementary asset.
  • Be familiar with Word, Excel and Office.
  • Good stress management skills and team spirirt.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

  • Regular work schedule
  • Monday to Friday, 37.5 h/week
  • Need to be available for vacation coverage and occasional shift modifications, including early and late entry and weekends.
