Your future role on our team

As an electrical and automation designer, you'll be called upon to join an engineering team and play a key role in carrying out projects of all kinds.

With us, you'll get the opportunity to...

  • Participate in executing detailed engineering projects.
  • Develop the design and layout of automated systems (control, instrumentation, motor control, etc.) for small to very large-scale projects.
  • Develop the design and layout of low-voltage electrical systems (<= 600 V).
  • Participate in studies and draft technical specifications and estimates (manufacturing, construction, purchasing).
  • Oversee construction work.
  • Start up the site systems.
  • Opportunity to manage technical teams.
  • Work closely with other members of BBA and client teams.
  • Apply established work methods and improve them.
  • Participate in project management (execution, costs, schedules).


Summary of certifications and job requirements

  • DVS in industrial/building drafting or DCS in electrical engineering
  • DCS in industrial electronics technology or other equivalent training
  • Available to travel occasionally to client sites in Québec and the rest of Canada
  • At least two years of experience as an electrical or automation drafter/designer
  • Proficient with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Project and Excel)
  • Asset: Bilingual (English and French)
  • Asset: ASP Construction card
