Your future role on our team

By joining our team as a junior engineer, you'll participate in engineering mandates in automation, instrumentation and control. You'll be asked to contribute to various phases of engineering and site work. You may also be asked to help prepare proposals, select technologies and propose solutions to clients.

  • Assign and revise work by technicians and drafters assigned to the project and assess the technical scope;

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in automated production engineering, electrical engineering or other relevant training;
  • From none to five years of relevant experience;
  • Member of a Canadian professional engineering association;
  • Experience in instrumentation and control design;
  • Experience in programming control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS);
  • Available to travel to and from our BBA offices in the Greater Montréal area;
  • Available for short- and long-term work assignments at client locations or sites;
  • Asset: bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written;
  • Asset: interest or relevant experience in automation and instrumentation; participation in detailed engineering of a project in the mining or energy sectors;
  • Asset: knowledge of ABB's 800xA control platform.
