Transload is the multi-commodity product transfer from one transportation vehicle to another including inventory, storage, if required.

Successful applicants will be hired as an Equipment Operator, Transload employee where they will be required to train and qualify on the duties of:

  • Manual daily labour associated with resizing/restacking lumber lifts for export
  • Operating lift trucks unloading from truck or rail to ground, loading export containers
  • Blocking, bracing securing railcars for unloading/loading
  • Interpreting and completing paperwork associated with the loading/unloading of railcars and containers
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions and exposure to dust, pollen, noise and vibrations
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, performing overhead work, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds (22 kg) and occasionally up to 70 pounds (32 kg)

Employment Requirements:

  • This job is considered safety sensitive so you need to have a drug test
  • High school diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Lift-truck operator certification (Class 4/5)
  • Proficiency in the operation of lift-truck, up to 50,000 pounds capacity
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Customer service driven, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The work location:

Work within a specific yard

Employment requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Lift-truck operator certification.
  • Proficiency in the operation of lift-truck, up to 21,000 pounds (10,000 kg) capacity.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.

Asset:
Class 1 driver's license.

  • Basic computer skills.
