Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Solution Management - Security Applications position in Montreal, QC from May - Aug 2025.

Job Summary

The Intern, Solution Management - Security Applications is responsible for providing day-to-day support for the security applications, including functional support, administration, configuration, and troubleshooting. The role is essential for the successful implementation and ongoing operation of new security applications, ensuring support services meet standards. Additionally, the role actively participates in the Problem, Incident, and Change Management processes, following Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices.

Major Responsibilities

· Troubleshoot application-related issues and inquiries as well as follow up with backend support when required

· Perform software administration, configuration, evolution, upgrades and patches

· Perform incident handling, service restoration, logging and tracking

· Interface with business colleagues, Information and Technology (I&T) Help Desk, I&T Command Center (ITCC), I&T support teams or Vendors

· Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge and key requirements for the operationalization and support of the application

Requirements

· Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles

· Knowledge of privileged access management (PAM) solutions

· Experience with one of the following IAM plaftorms: IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM), Saviynt, CyberArk, SecureAuth MFA, ServiceNow, Active Directory, Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP), Linux

· Ability to configure and customize IAM applications as an administrator

· Hands-on experience working with databases

· Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

· Ability to meet deadlines and handle time effectively

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Fluently bilingual, both written and verbal (English, French)

· Proficiency in JavaScript and Structured Query Language (SQL)*

Education

· Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent (minimum of 2 years completed)

*Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
