We are looking for a Risk Control Analyst to join our team in our Risk Advisory team in their Montreal Office!

As a Risk Control Analyst, you will act as a support counselor on all risk control and risk engineering considerations.

Your day as a Risk Control Analyst

  • Support the Senior Consultant in the risk reports preparation & production: underwriting report for the insurance market, risk assessments, recommendation reports etc.
  • Assist in and conduct property site surveys at client's facilities
  • Perform loss estimates calculations
  • Support and develop risk control templates and documents.
  • Support brokers in the placement process by providing information on risk exposures and insurer subjectivities.
  • Advise clients on risk exposures and control measures.
  • Support research and development practice on any technical issues and considerations.
  • Support building valuation practice.

Our ideal candidate

  • Bachelor or college degree in engineering, fire protection/prevention, or applied science diploma.
  • 1 year experience in industrial site inspections, risk control, and/or fire protection is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge in building construction and related codes, and building mechanics, an asset.
  • Good analysis skills, problem solver to help clients with risk challenges.
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and in English as the candidate will be required to interact in English with stakeholders (colleagues and clients) outside Québec.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel (including VBA);
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
