Your future role in the BBA Environment group


BBA is seeking an experienced professional with at least five years of experience to support strategic projects, expand our services and contribute to business growth.

In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering diverse and exciting projects across industrial sectors, energy (hydropower, wind and solar power, biomass), mining and land development sectors. You'll also have the opportunity to work on projects across Canada and work with colleagues from all our national offices, gaining rich and varied experience on a national scale.

  • Participate in human environment studies as part of various environmental assessments for diverse projects (e.g., mining, wind power, hydropower, etc.)
  • Design and implement public consultation plans and community engagement strategies tailored to the specific challenges of each project
  • Perform research and document analysis
  • Analyze socio-economic, quantitative and qualitative data, or other types of data related to the human environment
  • Write study reports that meet client needs and regulatory requirements
  • Support the growth of the Environment group and actively contribute to developing and implementing departmental development strategies, in collaboration with the director and leaders of other key functions
  • Foster interdepartmental collaboration and strengthen ties among BBA offices to maximize value for our clients
  • Actively participate in internal team meetings and discussions with clients and subcontractors

Summary of certifications and job requirements

  • University degree in social sciences, environmental studies, anthropology, sustainable development or any other related field
  • Ability to carry out socio-economic, quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to write clear, structured reports for various audiences
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Skilled in maintaining positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, including local and Indigenous communities
  • Excellent command of French (spoken and written)
  • Knowledge of English, both spoken and written
  • Ability to travel for field consultations or meetings, when required
  • Strong interest in sustainable development and corporate social responsibility
  • Asset: At least five years of relevant experience, ideally in the energy, heavy industry or mining sectors
  • Asset: Knowledge of public consultation methods and community engagement strategies
  • Asset: Knowledge of Canadian, provincial and municipal regulatory frameworks for environmental and social impact assessments
  • Asset: Knowledge of geographic information system (GIS) analysis tools or other specialized software
