The Decommissioning Engineer will be part of the Gentilly-1 Decommissioning Projects team throughout the lifecycle of Gentilly-1 Waste Facility decommissioning. The Decommissioning Engineer will support Project Leaders in the execution of projects at Gentilly-1 including statement of work preparation, review of drawings, review of work control packages, providing oversight of staff and contractors executing decommissioning work, and providing technical expertise during implementation of field work activities at the site. Our Gentilly-1 site is nestled in a predominantly French-speaking town and while our work and documents are primarily in English, in the event of an emergency, audible alarms at the site will be in French. Emails and other communications will be in both French and English.

CNL's Gentilly-1 Prototype Reactor (shut down and partially decommissioned) is located on the Gentilly Nuclear Generating Station site on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River in Bécancour, Quebec, 100 km northeast of Montreal. Bécancour Regional County Municipality sits at the confluence of the Bécancour River, opposite Trois-Rivières, providing access to over eight different municipalities for living, work and relaxation.
