Your future role on our team

Join BBA and bring your experience to an engineering and environmental consulting firm where team ingenuity helps develop innovative and scalable strategies and solutions.You'll report to the Chief Operating Officer and will leverage your leadership skills to guide project teams every day working with experts on new concepts, developing strategies, building partnerships and promoting the Innovation program, its initiatives and the people behind them.

An overview of your responsibilities
  • Develop innovation strategies aligned with the firm's strategic direction
  • Plan and implement the annual plan
  • Manage the budget, hours and expenses
  • Track progress and produce performance reports
  • Oversee the idea submission management system
  • Develop incubators for promising projects
  • Supervise and support project teams
  • Foster engagement and ensure the sustainability of the firm's innovation culture
  • Promote past, current and future initiatives
  • Analyze eligibility for government programs (tax credits, subsidies), and prepare applications, where necessary
  • Identify and facilitate partnerships with universities, suppliers, startups and other organizations

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • At least eight years of relevant experience, including the engineering sector
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Experience in research and development projects
  • Experience with government subsidies and business tax credits
  • Strong soft skills at all organizational levels
  • Ability to achieve individual and team objectives
  • Available for short-term travel to other BBA offices in Canada
  • Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written, and ability to draft documents in both languages
  • Asset: master's degree or doctorate in an engineering-related field
  • Asset: practical experience in an industrial R&D environment
