Your future role on our team

BBA is seeking an Engineer In Training (EIT) or Junior process engineer to join a team that offers high-quality expertise and consulting services.

In this role, you’ll work with our experienced team on the technical aspects of engineering mandates in automation, instrumentation and control. You’ll be asked to help prepare proposals, select technologies and propose solutions to clients.

  • Prepare material lists and bills of lading in accordance with codes, standards, drawings and other established procedures
  • Revise analyses and deliverables produced by technicians and drafters
  • Perform technical surveys
  • Help plan, organize and identify client needs for new facilities and expansion projects
  • Provide technical assistance at project start-up and after delivery
  • Prepare technical documents
  • Participate in site testing

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in automated production engineering, electrical engineering or other relevant training
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • 6 to 18 months of professional experience
  • Practical experience in instrumentation and control design (design criteria, network architecture, instrument selection, etc.)
  • Experience in developing and programming control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS)
  • Experience with system troubleshooting, commissioning and implementation
  • Available to travel across our BBA offices in the Greater Montréal or Québec City areas
  • Available for short- and long-term work assignments at client locations or sites
  • Bilingual (English and French) and strong report-writing skills
  • Asset: Experience in a consulting engineering environment
