Electrical Designer - Renewable Energy

Your future role on our team

You'll be part of our team specialized in electrical apparatus installation. You'll work with experts and be exposed to a variety of situations to develop your technical skills in designing substations and collector systems for renewable energy projects.

• Design high- and medium-voltage substations;
• Design medium-voltage collector systems;
• Actively participate in computer-aided design of plans (2D and 3D);
• Participate in project conceptual studies;
• Prepare lists of materials, cables and specifications under the supervision of an engineer;
• Perform design calculations;
• Perform technical information surveys;
• Monitor contractors on site;
• Help commission and troubleshoot systems;
• Help with the technical management of small and medium scale projects.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

• Diploma of vocational studies in Building or Industrial Design or a diploma of college studies in Mechanical, Architectural or Electrical Engineering;
• At least five years of experience as a 2D and 3D designer;
• Proficient with AutoCAD;
• ASP Construction card;
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Project and Excel);
• Available to travel to client sites and offices;
• Asset: Bilingual (English and French).
