Our Transmission and Distribution Electrical team is located mainly in our Mont-Saint-Hilaire (head office) and Montreal offices. Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of specialized engineers, technicians and support staff and includes professionals from junior to expert levels.

As part of Hydro-Québec's substation projects, you’ll be required to:

• Serve in various roles, including project leader and proposal leader
• Help design high- and medium-voltage electrical substations
• Prepare lists of materials and bills of materials, installation specifications and layout drawings in accordance with Hydro-Québec standards
• Perform or check calculations to size equipment and select appropriate power cable gauges
• Participate in site surveys
• Ensure coordination with managers from other disciplines

Overview of certifications and job requirements

• University degree in engineering
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
• More than five years of experience in electrical apparatus projects at Hydro-Québec
• Very good knowledge of specialized software such as MPI, MCT, CPI and Logesdes
• Knowledge of Hydro-Québec standards (GT, SN, TET, etc.)
