Your future role on our team

As an engineer and project manager specializing in air quality, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the success and technical validity of the following activities: air quality and air emissions management, environmental compliance, greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction, atmospheric dispersion modelling and ambient air quality assessment.

Your role will be to lead various engineering phases and to participate in the air quality components of permit applications. You'll also contribute to all other tasks within the Air Quality team, including quantifying contaminant releases into the atmosphere, establishing GHG emission budgets, using atmospheric dispersion models to determine how plants contribute to ambient air quality and preparing technical reports. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary BBA teams: geomatics, visual simulation, industrial ventilation, air purification and energy efficiency.

· Prepare proposals.

· Supervise atmospheric dispersion modelling studies.

· Assess and select atmospheric emission control equipment.

· Propose GHG and other pollutant management solutions.

· Write technical reports and perform engineering calculations.

· Lead site work.

· Participate in mechanical department projects such as: energy efficiency, combustion, implementation of dust collection solutions and control of industrial atmospheric emissions.

· Manage and lead projects to ensure technical quality and financial performance.

· Maintain relationships with clients and ensure technical discussions.

· Contribute to business and marketing development to develop the diversity and productivity of the BBA team.

· Help prepare proposals, lead projects and develop business within the Air Quality team.

· Promote expertise to a variety of industrial markets.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • bachelor's degree in engineering
  • At least 10 years of experience in air quality and atmospheric emissions and in leading engineering projects
  • Available to work at our client sites in Québec and the rest of Canada
  • Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of air emissions and air quality regulations
  • Ability to draft technical documents
  • Experience in the heavy industry sector (mining, petrochemicals, energy, etc.)
