Your future role on our team

The BBA team is seeking a Junior Biologist to perform field surveys and data entry and to draft reports. The Environment Department carries out various mandates for project development and implementation in the industrial (energy, mining, linear projects), commercial and private sectors. These mandates involve biophysical characterization, and impact and social acceptability studies as well as applications for authorization and permits.

As a Junior Biologist, the environment professional will perform various tasks within a multidisciplinary team and coordinate work with project leaders and managers for mandates.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an environment-based field
  • Master's degree in Environment and/or Biological Sciences (optional)
  • Two years of relevant experience in environmental projects (mining environment, mining reclamation or mining projects, LHE delineation, botanical method, fauna and flora inventories, characterization of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, EQA, etc.)
  • Field survey experience (budget, scheduling, planning, work execution)
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to give oral presentations (for projects or business development activities)
  • Knowledge of the MS Office Suite and ArcGIS
  • Available for short-term field work
  • Asset: Bilingual (English and French) spoken and written
  • Asset: ASP Construction training
