At SMS Equipment, the Parts Manager will manage, under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the day-to-day operations of the Parts Department in accordance with the annual business plan, with a view to maximizing the department's profitability objectives. This position is located in St-Augustin.

The schedule for this position is 5x2.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Supervise the parts work team; recruit and train personnel and perform yearly performance evaluations.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of service to external and internal customers.
  • Contributes to parts inventory management.
  • Develops an annual action plan aimed at increasing the volume of sales of parts and related items.
  • Serve customers with enthusiasm and respond to their needs by carrying out various searches.
  • Periodically participates in meetings with clients in order to maintain good business relations and be aware of the issues and needs.
  • Monitor client files and provide solutions.
  • Allow coin credits.
  • Participate and track the budget.
  • Authorize parts credits.
  • Monitor current yearly budget.
  • Examine and authorize invoices for the parts department.
  • Always operate in compliance with company standards and policies on workplace health and safety.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by his manager.

Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary degree related to the field of mechanics or parts, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy equipment parts

Other requirements include :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Focused on customers and results.
  • Requiring little direct supervision, this leader is dynamic, creative and thorough; a team player who thrives on successfully managing challenges.
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS-Office.
  • Bilingualism french and english.
