Service Coordinator

At SMS Equipment, the Service Coordinator will organize and control the administrative functions pertaining to service work orders.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Plan and oversee the administration of warranty claims according to the terms of each manufacturer's policies and distribution agreement:
• Monitor the claim process;
• Communicate information and administrative process to Service Managers;
• Analyze the WIP list and follow up on delinquent accounts with Service Manager for prompt closing.
• Open work orders for workshop
• Compile documents for the closure of the work order
• Prepare repairs submissions
• Maintain a work planning table with the Supervisors;
• Track factory campaign applicable on machine;
• Track applicable service bulletins on machine in the workshop;
• Follow-up of training for Technician
• Manage warranty parts
• Track external purchases and shop supplies
• Track annual inspections of workshop equipment
• Answering customer calls
• Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisor.
• Assist the Service Manager.

Qualifications:

• High School or post-secondary diploma, or equivalent work experience;
• 3 to 4 years of experience in service operations
• Detail oriented and available;
• Technical knowledge an asset;
• Team builder and coaching abilities;
• Experience in business reporting and service administration;
• Flexibility to multi-task in a fast changing environment;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word Excel etc.)
