The location in Saint-Felicien, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Procurement Manager. This job is full-time permanent.


Do you have experience managing tender processes related to the procurement of services, parts, or capital expenditures (CapEx)? Have you worked in an environment where enforcing policies is crucial and mastered the art of building strong, long-lasting, and mutually beneficial partnerships?

Are you proficient with procurement software such as Ariba, Guide TI, or SAP?


Do you have a solid understanding of the industrial sector?


Are you recognized for being productive, autonomous, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously?

Your Challenges:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies;
  • Negotiate with internal and external partners and suppliers to optimize procurement costs;
  • Participate in creating specifications with stakeholders and lead discussion groups;
  • Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs) and develop procurement strategies;
  • Lead the definition of specifications and required quantities for centrally procured products and services to standardize their use;
  • Develop communication plans, oversee their implementation, and finalize agreements;
  • Add value to procurement processes and resolve operational issues;
  • Mentor and train buyers and strategic suppliers;
  • Act as a change agent to maximize operational value;
  • Adapt to a constantly evolving environment.

Your Team:

Reporting directly to the Director of Procurement, North America - Wood Products Division, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team that strives to exceed expectations.

Your Profile:

  • University degree in business, engineering, or a supply chain-related field;
  • At least 7 years of experience, including direct expertise in managing tender processes within the wood industry or a related sector;
  • Experience in procurement and inventory management, ideally in a SAP environment;
  • Experience as a Strategic Procurement Director (or equivalent), preferably in the pulp and paper or manufacturing sector.

  • Strong management and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal abilities;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both official languages;
  • Proven track record of exceeding expectations and delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines;
  • Self-confidence, motivation, and strong communication skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure, collaborate with all organizational levels, and function effectively in a team environment;
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills;
  • Proficiency in project management;
  • IT knowledge and a strong interest in working with systems.
