Under the responsibility of the Mobile Unit Manager, you will be called upon to act as an operator according to the assigned projects. You will work with our clients primarily in Canada. This position requires the ability to work with minimal supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate mobile water treatment units in remote areas;
  • Monitor treatment processes by performing sampling, laboratory analyzes and various measurements such as chemical dosing;
  • Carry out preventive maintenance of equipment;
  • Write follow-up reports;
  • Perform laboratory analyses;
  • Analyze, diagnose and provide solutions to problems; encountered during operations (process or mechanical in particular);
  • Participate / supervise the installation or demobilization of mobile water treatment units at the beginning and end of the project.

SKILLS

  • Ability to analyze and synthesize, logical sense and deductive ability;
  • Accuracy, precision and good work method;
  • Good manual skills and dexterity to effectively and delicately handle chemicals used in treatment;
  • Standing work for 8-12 hours;
  • Lifting loads of 40lbs;
  • Performing bending and trunk rotation movements;
  • Working in confined spaces;
  • Climbing ladders;
  • Working at height, crawling and squatting;
  • Customer satisfaction oriented;
  • Comfortable working alone and in a team;
  • Motivation to work;
  • Resourceful;
  • Responsible and organized.

EXPERIENCE

  • College diploma (DEC) or professional diploma (DEP) in water treatment or equivalent;
  • Has very good practical knowledge and skills in diagnosing problems in electricity, mechanics, instrumentation and control and likes to develop them;
  • Availability to travel; Fluency in French and English spoken and written. English is very frequently used to communicate with clients/suppliers outside Quebec as well as for report writing.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and an impeccable driving record;
  • Availability to work at night and to live in a camp;
  • Physical fitness required to be able to work long hours standing, working outdoors, lifting and moving heavy equipment.

Work conditions:

  • 14 14 shift rotation (14 days at work followed by 14 days off)
  • Availability to work nights and live in a camp;
  • 10 paid sick days;
  • 85% of the group insurance coverage (intermediate plan) paid by the employer;
  • Up to 7% contribution to the simplified retirement plan by the employer;
