Want to be in the thick of the action?

As Construction Manager, you'll be responsible for organizing, supporting and managing BBA's activities on all its work sites in your region. Your role will include engaging with clients to promote our services and onsite project management expertise; recruiting and organizing the work of site supervisors, resident engineers and onsite inspectors—whether consultants or employees—within the region.

You'll be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships for all onsite work by BBA's regional team. Your performance will be measured by achieving health and safety, quality, budget and schedule targets. To achieve this, you'll be supported by BBA's Project Management Office experts, who'll work closely with you. You'll also serve in enhancing BBA's construction management tools and procedures.


Your daily work in action:

  • Coordinate all site workers in your region.
  • Serve as supervisor and mentor to the work site team assigned to the project.
  • Ensure proactive interactions between site personnel and project engineering.
  • Develop construction strategies and ensure constructability.
  • Make sure the construction budget and schedule are respected, where applicable, and take any necessary actions.
  • Conduct site visits with bidders and support the bidding process for construction contracts.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
  • Inform and advise the project manager on construction-related decisions.
  • Ensure work is carried out safely according to the prime contractor's prevention program and BBA's 10 Golden Rules.
  • Foster and maintain a positive, dynamic and committed work environment within the team and in interactions with clients.
  • Manage straightforward labour relations issues.
  • Attend weekly contract review meetings and settle disputes.
  • Help develop feasibility studies and implementation strategies for new work sites.
  • Keep accurate and comprehensive notes of discussions, meetings and site events.

  • Hold a degree engineering, administration or any other relevant training
  • Proven soft skills
  • Ability to communicate in a professional and persuasive manner
  • Ideally bilingual
