At SMS Equipment, the Sales Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating activities between sales and other departments for all administrative tasks required for sales while responding to requests from customers and representatives. This position is located in Trois-Rivières.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate heavy equipment sales activities and respond to various requests from sales representatives and customers.
  • Answer telephone inquiries from sales representatives and customers.
  • Receive customers who come to the office, if necessary.
  • Develop and maintain good business relations with customers and manufacturers.
  • Maintain an up-to-date contact database in collaboration with sales representatives.
  • Define standards and standardize sales procedures.
  • Update and correct quotations and contracts issued by sales reps, and forward special requests from reps to manufacturers.
  • Organize business meetings at the office with customers and inform them of the heavy equipment distributed and offered by SMS Equipment.
  • Invite customers to visit the branch workshop.
  • Plan and coordinate, with shop personnel, the preparation of machines sold according to established priorities and procedures.
  • Prepare cost sheets for submission to sales representatives and customers.
  • Create sales reports to analyze data and make decisions accordingly.
  • Analyze sales volumes and profit margins for heavy equipment.
  • Make proposals to improve sales performance and demonstrate results through statistics.
  • Perform any other related tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must hold a D.E.C in administration or equivalent.

Other requirements are as follows:

  • Technical and product knowledge:
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment preferred.
  • Three (3) years' experience in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel).
  • Bilingual (French, English) both written and spoken.
  • Initiative, autonomy, organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
