We are looking for a Department Manager, Equipment and Building Maintenance, reporting to the Manufacturing/Maintenance Manager, Valcourt Operations, to lead the teams that carry out BRP's equipment and building maintenance work in Valcourt.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Lead a team of general supervisors and maintenance planning team leaders who are responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and buildings at various Valcourt sites, and the non-stock warehouse management team.
  • Make forecasts and achieve established budget targets.
  • Coach and develop your team in line with best practice and sound management of building and grounds equipment.
  • Work in partnership with various department heads at different sites, including Production, Industrial Engineering, the Research & Development centre, Electric Vehicles and other sites.
  • Establish a long-term strategic vision by adapting maintenance services to the reality of a constantly evolving business.
  • Monitor performance indicators and update the scorecard.
  • Ensure the execution of planned work by working closely with the supervisory and planning team.
  • Draw up and/or facilitate equipment durability plans for buildings and grounds.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and obligations.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in industrial engineering or industrial maintenance technology or equivalent. Any other combination of relevant training and experience will also be considered.
  • At least 3 years of experience in maintenance management.
  • An excellent communicator and team player who has good influencing skills.
  • The ability to delegate and develop your team.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in line with a partnership approach (Human Resources/Labour Relations Committee/Management).
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP and Guide Ti.
  • Good knowledge of plant and building maintenance.
  • The ability to communicate fluently in French and English, both verbally and in writing.
