Pump & Fan Operator

Responsibilities:

Maintain, repair or replace boiler pumps apparatus and engine

Maintain, repair or replace roof ventilators

Maintain, repair or replace hallway ventilators

Maintain, repair or replace garages’ heating unit engine

Maintain and repair garage inlet air components

Perform maintenance and repairs

Maintain and repair garage doors and carry out weekly inspections

Clean, repair and paint bathrooms and kitchens’ exhaust fans at the shop

Repair garbage chute

Report garage doors’ condition on an annual basis

Assist superintendents as needed

Repair cleaners’ vacuums

Repair tools, if possible

Repair dryer vent in townhouses and buildings

Education and Professional Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience in building ventilation and control

Knowledge of garage door repair

Knowledge of pump repairs

Literate in reading electrical plans

Technical Requirements:

Training or diploma in Ventilation and Control or equivalence

Valid driver's license

Car required

French (required) and English (an asset)

Non-Technical Requirements:

Ability to work in standing position on roofs and ladders

Ability to prioritize tasks

Good and up-to-date knowledge of all electrical codes

Capacity to work and perform tasks according to best practices and established procedures in an autonomous manner

Ability to work with a digital tablet

Capacity to evaluate and control work hazards and take necessary precautions
