Wicehtowak Frontec Services (WFS) is a partnership between George Gordon Developments Ltd. (GGDL) and ATCO Frontec Ltd. The majority Indigenous-owned company provides camp and support services for remote workforce housing projects. Where We Work and Live:

The Jansen Discovery Lodge is a workforce housing facility in support of the potash mine. The camp is located 155 kilometers east of Saskatoon, SK. This position works on a 14 day on, 14 days off rotation. Accommodations and meals during your work rotations are provided by the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the general upkeep of the external property in all seasons by providing snow and ice removal, mowing lawns, raking and weeding, shrub and tree pruning, watering lawns, and cleaning sidewalks
  • Safely operating hand-held equipment and tools used in maintaining the grounds and for the purpose of mowing lawn, snow removal, cleaning parking lots/sidewalks
  • Operating various equipment such as bob cat, front end loader, sand truck, areal work platform
  • Collection and disposal of refuse and debris
  • Cleaning outside windows
  • Cleaning of eaves on all buildings at site
  • Maintenance of the exterior of the buildings, i.e. free of debris, leaves
  • Organizing and maintaining supplies required such as fuel, oil, soil, fertilizers, and weed control products
  • Performing other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Have previous experience as a groundskeeper/landscaper, operating and maintenance of related equipment will be an asset
  • Skidsteer ticket is required
  • Background in pesticide application and /or valid pesticide certification for spraying and application of pesticides in the Province of SK considered an asset. Successful candidate must be willing to complete training to obtain certification.
  • Confined space, fall arrest/protection, aerial work platform tickets preferred
  • Be self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision;
  • Have the ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
