As the Refining Account Manager you will be responsible for managing chemical applications and technical support needs for customer accounts. Builds customer relationships to identify future requirements to help revenue growth. Leads and develops a collaborative team to solve complex and interesting technical problems. Provides a vital service by implementing, monitoring, and evaluating chemical delivery systems. Takes ownership of account applications at the customer site and ensures they have the service needed to operate in a safe and compliant manner while supporting our customer's needs.

As Refining Account Manager in Downstream Chemicals, you will be responsible for:

  • Build long-term strategic relationships by providing account management to customers while understanding their business requirements and originating sales opportunities
  • Identify, coordinate, and collaborate with team members to drive projects, technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers
  • Develop, deliver, and lead business reviews and technical presentations to customers, executive leadership, and team
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of existing refinery chemical process business for customer accounts, technicians and account representatives
  • Demonstrate good communication with interpersonal skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with teams and customers
  • Follow Sales and Service Standards at key customer accounts to ensure compliance • Directly manage a team of employees

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree
  • Solid experience in refinery operations or chemical sales
  • Have an understanding of HSE standards, a clear understanding of the compliance and reporting requirements associated with the flawless execution of a Perfect HSE Day
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Have experience with and ability to influence others
  • Demonstrate business acumen and ability to ensure product and value delivery for our customers
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with internal teams and external customers
  • Show the ability to lead and coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Have an understanding of factors that influence key commercial metrics to support company decision-making.
