The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education Department is accepting applications for the following Full-Time Permanent position, based out of the Mikisiw Awasis Early Learning Centre in the community of La Ronge, SK.

EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM SCHEDULER

The suitable candidates will be able to fulfill the following duties/responsibilities:
• Oversees the day-to-day operations of our Early Childhood Program in La Ronge;
• Ensure all groups/rooms have sufficient staff during operational hours;
• Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and staff;
• Coordinate staff breaks and annual leaves, while ensuring proper coverage in program areas;
• Provide guidance and direction to staff to meet standards and expectations;
• Make decisions and act in fast paced environment;
• Foster and support strong positive relationships with parents, children and employees;
• Learn and support Early Childhood Program principles and philosophies;
• Provide work plans and progress to the Immediate Supervisor;
• Act as an Early Childhood Worker when required to meet ratios;
• Other work-related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.

The suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications/abilities:
• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent;
• Must have a minimum of Level 3 Early Childhood Education Diploma, or other 2-year diploma in Office Ed/Business Administration
• 6 months-2 years previous experience
• A combination of Education and Experience may be considered;
• Experience using technology and data base systems effectively;
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Valid First Aid/CPR, WHIMIS and Food Safety Handler's Certificate is an asset;
• Personal experience as parent or caregiver of infants and/or young children;
• Ability to speak /understand Cree and/or knowledge of Cree Culture is an asset;
• Excellent verbal, written communication and public relations skills;
• Must have Valid Class 5 Driver's License;
• Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check and a Driver's Abstract.
