Lac La Ronge Indian Band Prevention is now accepting applications for the following Full-Time position based out of the Keeweetan Camp at mile 24 in Sucker River, SK:
Keeweetan Coordinator
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
- Coordinate facility usage, bookings for different departments/companies.
- Plan and implement community-based programs, projects and events as assigned.
- Complete and submit facility usage statistics by department or company and other reporting requirements.
- Ensure basic camp supplies are in place. Arrange for: Water for drinking, washing, cooking, and work closely with Maintenance Worker to ensure cleaning and maintenance supplies are in place.
- Propane, gasoline, utilities, and machines are in good working condition and wood supply is adequate
- Ensure basic camp maintenance: Arrange for snow removal, ice road maintenance, garbage collection, and removal.
- Maintenance of camp equipment such as generators, snowmobile, ATV, boat and motor, canoes, tools, and so forth.
- Work flexible hours such as weekends or after school hours at the Camp depending on facility usage.
- Monitor and secure everything at the camp.
- Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of trapline/camp life;
- Basic camp and equipment maintenance skills;
- Good communication skills to deal tactfully with staff, students and the public;
- Good organizational skills to plan and expedite work as it pertains to assigned projects;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and provide attention to detail are required;
- Must be willing to take direction from a supervisor;
- Physical capabilities to perform the job;
- Current WHMIS, First Aid and CPR certification are assets;
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle is required.
- Must provide satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Driver's Abstract
