In this role, we are looking for team leaders that can travel throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan as you work to support our crews in the field and interact with our clients and landowners to ensure access and safety is maintained along utility corridors and power distribution stations. Any perspective employee will ideally have 2-3 years of experience in previous pesticide employment, particularly in industrial or landscaping applications, though experience in other related fields may be accepted. A strong emphasis will be focused on working independently away from our main offices for several days at a time during our summer season.
This challenging position entails the supervision of crews in field applying herbicides with the purpose of managing brush and noxious weeds on utility facilities, power line rights-of-ways, and pipeline rights-of-way. The application of herbicides varies from selective backpack treatments to large scale foliar treatments utilizing 1-ton trucks, all terrain vehicles, and/or heavy equipment.
