Job Description: Quality Improvement Specialists are responsible for performing various key functions within the Safety, Quality & Strategy portfolio. Reporting to the Quality & Safety Manager, the Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist supports a culture of quality and safety through coaching and partnering to develop the behaviors and processes of continuous improvement and safety in everyday practice across the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The position directly supports improvement of our SHA Production System (day to day delivery of service) and the coaching and implementation of the SHA Management System (assess, improve and evaluate the effectiveness of the Production System ). The position varies in scope and greatly influences the success of system-wide improvement activity and attainment of Q&S and other organizational goals through QI and Lean Methodology.

Experience

  • Five (5) years progressive leadership experience

Education

  • Business Administration diploma (DBA)
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BComm)
  • Bachelor of Arts in Health Care Administration
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Health Care Administration diploma

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
