Job Title: Maintenance – Operations

Location: G3 Prairie West


Reporting in to the Operations Manager, 70% of the time will be focused on executing maintenance operations efficiently in compliance with quality, EH&S and Environmental G3 Policies and Procedures while the remaining 30% will be focused on providing support to the operations team. Maintain all control systems and mobile equipment’s. In addition to maintenance responsibilities, this role will be required to support the operations as it relates to loading trains etc.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute maintenance operations efficiently in compliance with quality, Environment, Health and Safety programs and applicable G3 Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure daily safe work procedures, instructions and follow ups are adhered.
  • Maintain all control systems and mobile equipment’s not limited to: LV Control, PLC’s and electronic controls that operate the grain facilities. Mobile equipment such as tractors, bobcats/skidsteers, augers, spreaders.
  • Develop and manage a formal preventive maintenance program to optimize operational efficiency, minimize downtime and manage risk.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping. Work areas where maintenance work is being performed should be maintained in a clean and safe condition at all time during the duration of the work activity.
  • Execute and communicate maintenance needs timely to Operations and General Manager.
  • Responsible for reporting near miss incidents or incident occurrences as per the incident reporting and investigation program.
  • Ensure subcontractor and 3rd party service providers are qualified and conduct their work in compliance with G3 Environment, Health and Safety Programs, Quality Programs and other applicable G3 policies and procedures.
  • Report equipment failure and participate in troubleshooting and identifying root.
  • Participate in monthly inspections in the elevator and report findings back to Operations Manager and General Manager.
  • Maintain parts inventory.
  • This position at times provides support to the Operations team on car loading days.
  • May be required to travel to the various sites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience required; preferably at an Elevator and/or Terminal
  • Previous customer service experience is required
  • Farm or ag industry experience considered an asset
