SUMMARY


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Fleet Maintenance, the Shunt Truck Driver is responsible for transporting trailers between the Q-Line yards and moving trailers into and out of the maintenance shop.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Operate shunt truck within yard
  • Ensure safe use of equipment
  • Transport trailers in and out of shop for repair
  • Transport equipment around yard as necessary
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery while complying to safety requirements
  • Knowledge of transportation safety regulations and requirements
  • Other duties may be assigned


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Class 1A driver license required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as heavy machinery operator
  • Outdoor and Indoor working environment
  • Proven accountability and dependability
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work individually and in team setting
  • Ability to exert force up to 50kg
