The community of Yorkton is seeking family physicians to join the primary health care team. These positions provide an opportunity to practice Primary Care within an innovative, multi-disciplinary team setting. As a member of the clinic team, services provided include Primary Care, Long Term Care (including LTC rounds and call) and walk-in services. There is also an option to particiapte in addictions medicine, acute care (Emergency and Inpatient services), regional obstetrics support services, etc.
The successful candidate must thrive in a collaborative team based setting and have a focus on continuous quality improvement with a goal of improving care and access for all clients. OAT services are available at this clinic and the successful applicant is encouraged to participate in the OAT program and obtain the necessary requirements to become a prescriber of buprenorphine/naloxone and methadone. It is also encouraged that the successful candidate participate as a part of the larger physician group to provide other regional services offered in Yorkton (i.e.obstetrics support services, ER coverage, Family Medicine Hospitalist, etc.) These other regional services are provided under seperate contracts and can be discussed further in the application process.
The physician must have the capacity to assume care of an already established practice if applicable.
