We are looking for a mid-level P6 scheduler for the development and maintenance of integrated studies and execution project schedules, including plant shutdowns. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive understanding and application of project processes and Project Controls practices which include; principals of planning, scheduling, risk/change management, cost/schedule integration and performance measurement.

In this role, you will be contributing through applying knowledge and experience in technical or professional discipline. Solving a range of problems using largely defined procedures and solutions. Receiving a moderate level of guidance and direction. Reporting to the Manager- Schedule Controls, you will:

  • Create, maintain, and report on the project plan and schedule
  • Support annual plant shutdown daily schedule updating
  • Participates in project schedule review meetings and update schedules
  • Assists in maintaining the integrity of integrated project schedules
  • Supports development of monthly schedule reports, including proper analysis
  • Assists in schedule development and monitoring for assigned areas
  • Identifies improvement opportunities for streamlining work process
  • Supports compliance with standardized processes, systems, and tools
  • Maintains the relationship with contracting and other project planning stakeholders
  • Collaborates with the cost engineering and estimating groups to ensure that implications of changes are well articulated.

What you'll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in project planning and scheduling is preferred.
  • Experience in project planning/scheduling in an industrial and/or construction environment.
  • Demonstrated success and comprehensive knowledge and experience with P6 Primavera Scheduling Software.
  • Experience with integrating contractor schedules into a master project schedule.
  • Ability to apply project scheduling practices to a variety of projects across disciplines.

Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States. We produce copper, precious metals including gold and silver, molybdenum and sulfuric acid.
