To better support project and client development in the Salt Lake City area, you will work in our multidisciplinary office and will be part of a team of professionals committed to the success of our mandates. The existing team, which works closely with our offices in the greater Montréal area and Vancouver, is actively involved in developing the region and in carrying out various projects in the mining and metals sector.
By joining our team, your role as Engineer and Project Leader will be to contribute to proposals, design engineering, technological choices and proposed solutions, from design to implementation. Additionally, you will carry out technical coordination and project management, as well as programming and commissioning.

  • Participate in upgrading numerous control systems including the design, definition of technical characteristics and commissioning for various projects in the mining and manufacturing production industries, as well as for smelters
  • Prepare reports, plans, specifications and RFPs in accordance with needs expressed by clients
  • Perform inspections or technical surveys
  • Plan and coordinate site follow-ups
  • Solve problems using a variety of known or innovative methods and techniques, and performing comparative studies
  • Assess client satisfaction and maintaining close relations with the client
  • Supervise site work.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • University degree or technical diploma in Automated Production engineering or Electrical engineering Undergraduate degree in automated production or electrical engineering
  • 10 years of relevant experience as an Automation/Instrumentation Engineer or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience in equipment POV and start-up
  • Experience in programming control systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS)
  • Automation experience in the following fields: hydroelectric generating stations, electrical substations in control and protection, and mining processes
  • Proficiency in project management, technical writing and troubleshooting
  • Experience in cost estimation
  • Professional Engineer licensed in UTAH
  • Asset: Knowledge of PID loop Tuning and process modelling
  • Asset: Knowledge of PI System.
