THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Fellow-level Engineer to join AMD's Central Methodology and Tools team in the role of verification flow architect. In this role, you will drive verification methodology by working with EDA vendors, creating internal tools and working with design teams to ensure that AMD has best in class methods. Work will extend to flow management, development, and partnership with a broad set of stakeholders in AMD. This role offers the opportunity to work on leading edge projects, influence major technical direction and mentor junior engineers.

You will have strong technical drive and excellent leadership and communication skills to work effectively in a global development team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and drive verification methodology across AMD
  • Work with existing development teams to define roadmaps for existing flows and assist in difficult technical debug
  • Work closely with design teams to gather requirements and develop strategies to tackle key technical problems
  • Partner with EDA vendors to drive implementation of AMD specific requirements and enable best in class methodologies
  • Partner with physical design teams to ensure seamless end to end design flows
  • Drive both static checks and dynamic verification, as required in a modern RTL design environment
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across a broad organization

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Deep experience in functional verification with demonstrated expertise in CAD flows and methodology development
  • Experience working seamlessly across engineering disciplines and geographies to deliver excellent results

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
