Cenovus is seeking a Maintenance Planner for our Superior, WI refinery. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for reviewing, estimating, and keeping a record of all work requests, which includes requests for labor tools, material and equipment. This position plays a fundamental role in planning work activities, ensuring safe work practices and ensuring company policies and procedures are followed. This primary focus of this position is maintenance planning. The position also has a potential to serve as a back-up supervisor for the maintenance team.

What you'll do:

  • Plan maintenance activities utilizing archived plans, updated drawings, and field verification to ensure accuracy
  • Work with Asset Care to update information provided by either feedback other research during the planning phase
  • Drive all phases of the Maintenance Work Process
  • Create granular plans with estimated hours per task
  • Ensure BOM's are accurate and up to date
  • Maintain an efficient work environment that promotes employee participation and develops leadership skills
  • Responsible for following all safety policies and guidelines as established by Cenovus Energy
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment including active participation in monthly Safety Meetings
  • Provide back-up supervision coverage for the maintenance team.

Who you are:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 10 years of relatable work experience, preferably in industrial field, including trouble shooting and repair.
  • 2 years experience as a maintenance coordinator dealing with CMMS, contractor support and maintenance processes or similar.

Preferred:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree.
  • Approximately 5 years of experience with a computer managed maintenance system (CMMS) such as Tabware, SAP or similar.
  • Approximately 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry including significant experience with contractors, maintenance process and procedures.
  • Advanced Experience with SAP.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Capable of working successfully with all levels of the organization.
  • Committed to working safely.
  • Technical expertise of applicable area.
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.
