Your future role on our team

To better support project and client development in the Salt Lake City area, you'll work in our multidisciplinary office and will be part of a team of professionals committed to completing successful mandates. We'll offer you a stimulating and friendly environment where you'll be given mandates that will push you to excel, both at the office and on site.

You'll be exposed to various situations to develop your technical skills in material handling, dust control, maintenance, pumping, structures, machine safety and industrial ventilation. You'll have the chance to work on various projects, collaborate with other BBA's offices and have the support of our different experts.



With us, you'll get the opportunity to:

  • Develop mechanical scopes of work, budgets and proposals for various projects in the mining and manufacturing production industries, as well as for smelters.
  • Plan and coordinate site follow-ups.
  • Perform high-level engineering on major mechanical packages such as crushing and grinding circuits, flotation circuits, leaching circuits and dewatering.
  • Lead mechanical scope on conceptual design studies, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies and detailed engineering.
  • Be a key team member for small to major brownfield and greenfield mining projects.
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, condition assessments, commissioning and testing.rovide mentorship and coaching of junior and intermediate engineers, actively sharing knowledge and helping team members improve their skills.
  • Foster a culture of having fun at work while producing high quality professional deliverables.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional engineer licensed in Utah (or being in process)
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in mechanical engineering in the industrial, energy or mining sectors
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite and other applications as well as databases and interfaces
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and SmartPlant applications
  • Asset: ability to oversee process plant layout design
