The Rotating Equipment Lead position offers an outstanding opportunity to coordinate in a dynamic and collaborative environment. What you'll do:
Ensure health, safety, and environmental performance, achieving our goals of no accidents and no harm to people or the environment
Conduct and prepare safety meetings, strictly implementing Safety Leadership Principles
Coordinate and participate in refinery safety programs
Maintain a clean, safe work site with remarkable housekeeping
Drive reliability and proactive maintenance in your area
Support the Employee Policy, ensuring clear expectations and open performance discussions
Collaborate with various maintenance and engineering teams
Develop and report performance measures, identifying and implementing improvements
Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot to ensure quality work
Assist planners in defining scope, materials, and reviewing bids
Participate in scheduling meetings, developing efficient work schedules
Coordinate job preparation activities, ensuring materials and tools availability
Communicate work status to Operations and relevant personnel
Ensure compliance with Control of Work (CoW) and Process Safety policies
Identify skill gaps and support training plans
Participate in the training committee for Machinists
Coordinate the union-company labor agreement fairly
Serve as a member of the Plant Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP) team
Who you are:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree or relevant technical/vocational training related to Millwright/Machinist work preferred
Minimum 7 years relevant experience in a refinery or like industry working in a Millwright/Machinist role required
5 years of experience working in and/or with union craft preferred
Must have working knowledge of pumps, compressors, and other relevant refinery rotating equipment
Ability to exhibit supervisory skills in directing, appraising, counseling and guiding employees
