This opportunity…

The Labour Market Development Branch works collaboratively with our partners and stakeholders to strengthen the Yukon labour market through strategic planning, service provision and program delivery. We provide funding and advisory services to employers to help with their staffing needs. By funding key organizations, we support Yukoners to develop their skills, secure employment and thrive in the Yukon labour market.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to work on and manage projects and identify and combine resources within a multi-stakeholder context. If you have demonstrated project management skills with a client service orientation and thrive on building and maintaining relationships, you may be interested in working with Economic Development.

Essential Qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume. When you list your work experience, include the month and year in which you started and ended each job.

  • Post-secondary education in a field which would provide good knowledge of adult education, program planning, and/or the labour market.
  • Work experience in adult education, training, or literacy, combined with research and analysis experience.
  • Experience preparing and presenting papers and research findings to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience coordinating strategies, projects, and large groups.
  • Experience in policy, regulation and legislation analysis and development would be an asset.
  • Previous experience working with labour market, or statistical analysis would be an asset.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may will be equally considered.

  • Demonstrating client focus
  • Experience with developing and managing funding agreements is an asset.
  • Experience with good results in working with Yukon First Nations is also an asset.

Additional Information

Conditions of Employment: Valid Class 5 Driver's License and security clearance.

Job Requirements: Willingness to travel within Canada and internationally.
