We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Transportation team. The Transportation Engineering Branch is responsible for the planning, design, rehabilitation and construction of different highways, bridges and transportation infrastructure throughout Yukon. The Project Inspector is responsible for the design, execution and inspection of vegetation control and roadside barrier replacement projects throughout the Yukon.

Essential Qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Experience managing projects including contract administration, tracking budgets, supervising contractors, implementing project processes and controls.
  • Experience with public sector procurement would be an asset.
  • A diploma or certificate in construction management, forestry technician, environmental technician or other related education would be an asset.


Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Conditions of Employment

This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment:

  • class 5 driver's licence or equivalent
  • standard first aid with CPR (to be acquired within 6 months of hire)

Job Requirements

This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following job requirements:

  • Travel throughout the territory
  • Work in adverse weather conditions
  • Use of personal protective equipment
  • Work outside of headquarters area for extended periods of time
